Bible Comes Alive

If there's an audio series that my children never get tired of listening to, this is it!
Bible Comes Alive is a narrated series of timeless Bible stories that are engaging, immersive, and can hold the interest of children from preschool up to adolescence (and beyond - I love listening to them too!).
The series consists of five albums covering well-known stories like Adam and Eve and Daniel in the Lion's Den.
It also includes lots of less well-known stories about characters like Adonijah and Mephibosheth (if you're wondering who that is, check out Album 3!).
Each album has 24-26 stories, and each story is about 30 minutes long. They have been our go-to during road trips, and even for short car rides around town.
The entire series is available for purchase on the Your Story Hour website. I bought the MP3 files online and downloaded them so the kids could start listening right away. Free stories are also available at Audioverse and on their YouTube channel.
If you want just one specific story, or a certain selection of stories, you can actually buy and download individual audio files instead of entire albums.
Speaking of the albums, here's a quick overview of each one:
Album 1 begins with Adam & Eve and continues through the Old Testament --Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph --concluding with Moses and the Red Sea.
Album 2 starts with the Israelites in the desert and concludes with David running for his life from King Saul. Other Bible characters include Miriam, Baalam, Achan, Joshua, Gideon, Samson, Ruth, Samuel, Jonathan, and the giant Goliath.
Album 3 begins with David as he becomes King of Israel, and continues through Bible history -- Mephibosheth (the son of Jonathan, friend of King David), Bathseba, Absalom, Adonijah, Solomon, Elijah, Ahab, Naaman, and Hezekiah -- to the beautiful Queen Esther (my girls' favourite Bible story!).
Album 4 starts with Queen Esther saving her people and moves through Bible history -- Job, Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel, and Jonah -- to the wonderful story of Jesus' birth, John the Baptist, the calling of the Disciples, and Nicodemus.
Album 5 continues through the life of Jesus -- the Phoenician woman, the transfiguration, Lazarus, Zaccheus, the Last Supper, and the Crucifixion & Resurrection -- and the Early Church -- Stephen, Saul, Peter, Paul & Silas.
The people at Your Story Hour have done an amazing job with this series. Since 1949 they've been producing family-friendly radio dramas based on the Bible, historical heroes, and true-to-life adventures.
Their stories -- which are brought to life by talented voice actors, descriptive sound effects and compelling music -- teach Biblical values, positive character traits and principles for good decision-making. I highly recommend them, so...
