LIFEPAC History & Geography develops students' understanding of and appreciation for God's activity as seen in the record of man and his relationships. The curriculum targets this goal by focusing on six major themes for Grades K to 12:
Geography (World and American)
History (World, American, and Religious)
Government
Citizenship
Economics
Social Sciences
With Bible verses from the King James Version and biblical content that promotes a Christian worldview, LIFEPAC encourages critical thinking skills that promote and strengthen a student's faith in Christ.
If you're like me, you might want to give your kids some additional context when it comes to the lessons about the early explorers, settlers, and colonization. Looking at historical events from multiple perspectives is a good way to broaden their knowledge and help them think critically.
For those of us in Canada, several of the workbooks may not be as relevant. LIFEPAC is an American company, so much of their History & Geography curriculum is focussed on the U.S. Having said that, you can always preview sample pages and pick and choose which workbooks you want to use as part of your homeschool curriculum.
